The Chargers won both games in the Northeast Preseason Classic. They were the only undefeated team.
Brent R. singled with 1 out in the 1st inning and scored on a double by Marc B. to give the Chargers a 1-0 lead. With 2 outs in the 2nd inning John S. and John R. both walked. John S. scored on a wild pitch and Marc B. singled to drive in John R. to give the Chargers a 3-0 lead. Osceola scored a run in the top of the 3rd inning to cut the lead to 3-1.
The Chargers broke the game open with 5 runs in the 4th inning. With 2 outs John S. walked and John R. was hit by a pitch. Brent R. and Marc B. both singled to drive in runs. Spencer H. doubled to drive in 2 runs. Tyler L. singled to drive in the 5th run of the inning to give the Chargers a commanding 8-1 lead.
Marc B. was the winning pitcher working 5 innings, allowing only 1 run and 1 hit and he struck out 8. John R. pitched 2 innings allowing no runs or hits and struck out 2.
The Chargers played errorless ball during the game. John S. made a diving catch in center field on a line drive. Andrew R. made a diving stab of a ground ball and got up to throw the batter out at 1st base. Jon O. made a great pick up on a lone throw to 1st base to get the batter out to complete the nice double play.

The Chargers will play on Tuesday, February 16 at 4:00 against Largo in the Dixie Hollins Tournament.
