Newberry scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning to jump out to a 3-0 lead. They scored 2 more runs in the bottom of the 4th inning to go ahead 5-0. In the 7th inning Jake B and Jason K singled and Marc B got a hit to drive in another run to make the final score Newberry 6 and Chargers 5. Jason K took the loss for the Chargers.
