St. Pete Catholic scored a run in the top of the 1st inning on a walk, a balk and 2 wild pitches to take a 1-0 lead. In the 4th inning they scored another run on a single and a double to increase the lead to 2-0.
After the first 11 Charger hitters had been retired in order, Marc B. doubled in the 4th inning but the Chargers were unable to score.
St. Pete Catholic broke the game open in the 5th inning scoring 7 runs to take a commanding 9-0 lead. They struck again for 2 more runs in the top of the 6th to make the final score 11-0.
The Chargers had 1 hit and only had 3 base runners during the game.
John S. was the starting and losing pitcher. He pitched effectively for 4 innings. John R. and Andrew R. worked the last 1 1/3 innings of the ball game.
The Chargers next game is against Out of Door Academy on Wednesday, March 10 at 4:00 pm.
