The Chargers lost an outstanding pitchers' duel in a 9 inning game in the Steve Georgiadis/Seminole Tournament on Tuesday, March 30. Marc B. pitched 7 innings, allowing 1 run, 6 hits and struck out 12. Jason K. worked 1 1/3 innings allowing an unearned run to pick up the loss.
The Chargers scored a run in the top of the 1st inning on a single by John R. With 2 outs Spencer H. lined a single to centerfield to drive in the run. Seminole tied the score in the bottom of the 1st with a lead off home run and had runners on 1st and 2nd with nobody out and Marc B. struck out the next 3 hitters in order to retire the side. Marc B. pitched out of another jam in the 4th inning. Seminole had runners at 1st and 2nd with 1 out. The Chargers picked a runner off at 2nd base. Then after a walk to the next hitter, Marc B. ended the inning with another strikeout.
In the bottom of the 9th inning Seminole Warhawks won a hard fought game by scoring an unearned run to make the final score 2-1.
The defensive play of the game was made by Brent R. on a run through ground ball play to end the 4th inning with the go ahead runner at 2nd base. Spencer H. caught another outstanding game behind the plate.

The Chargers will continue play in the Georgiadis Tournament playing the loser of the Orlando 1st Academy/Pembroke Pines Charter game on Thursday, April 1 at 7:00 pm.
