John R. led off the 1st inning with a hit. Spencer H. hit a long home run to take a 2-0 lead. In the bottom of the 2nd inning St. Pete Catholic had 2 hits to tie the score at 2-2. In the 3rd inning, Shorecrest scored a run when Spencer H. doubled and scored on a balk to give the Chargers a 3-2 lead. In the bottom of the 3rd inning St. Pete Catholic scored 2 runs on 2 walks and a double to take a 4-3 lead. The Chargers came back with 4 runs in the top of the 4th inning. Brian K. led off with a base hit. With 2 outs John S. singled to drive in a run. John R. and Brent R. walked. Spencer H. singled to drive in 2 runs. Jon O. singled to drive in the 4th run of the inning to give the Chargers a 7-4 lead.

St. Pete Catholic scored a run in the bottom of the 4th on a single and a triple to cut the Chargers’ lead 7-5. SPC scored a run in the bottom of the 5th on 2 walks and a base hit to make the score 7-6. In the bottom of the 6th SPC scored 5 runs on 3 walks, 4 hits and an error to win the game 11-7.

The Chargers will play their next game away against Indian Rocks Christian at 4:00 pm in a Bay Conference Game on Friday, March 11.
During Spring Break, the Chargers will play at home on Monday, March 14 at 4:15 pm against Pinellas Park. Come on out and root for the home team.
