The Chargers beat Seffner Christian to win their division of the Bay Conference and earned the right to play in the championship game on April 21.
John S. walked in the bottom of the 1st inning. Jon O. drove him in with a ground out to give the Chargers a 1-0 lead. Miles B. led off the 3rd inning with a base on balls. John R. and John S. both singled to load the bases. Spencer H. drove them in with a sacrifice fly. Jon O. grounded out to drive in another run to give the Chargers a 3-0 lead.
In the 4th inning Brian K. led off with a single and he scored on a wild pitch to make the score 4-0. In the 5th inning John R. reached on an error and scored on a sacrifice fly by Marc B. to give the Chargers a 5-0 lead. Seffner Christian scored 2 runs in the top of the 6th to cut the lead to 5-2.
Marc B. struck out the side in the 7th inning to end the game to give the Chargers a 5-2 victory. Marc B. pitched an outstanding game allowing only 3 hits, 15 strikeouts and no bases on balls to pick up his 3rd win of the year.
