Shorecrest 4, Northeast 2
Jason K. pitched a no hitter for the Chargers on Saturday against Northeast High School. He was outstanding striking out 9, allowing no earned runs and walking three.
The Chargers scored one run in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Spencer H. walked and Jon O. drove him in with a long double to give the Chargers a 1-0 lead. Northeast tied the game in the 3rd inning at 1-1. In the 5th inning, Andrew R. reached on an error and Brent R. walked. With two outs Marc B. singled to drive in the go-ahead run. Spencer H. singled to drive in two more runs to give the Chargers a 4-1 lead. Northeast scored a run in the 6rh inning to make the final score 4-2.
Leading hitters were:
Spencer H. with a single and 2 runs scored
Jon O. with a double and 1 RBI
Marc B. with a single, 1 RBI and 1 run scored
Brent R. and Andrew R. each scored a run
Andrew R. made some very good defensive plays at 3rd base for the Chargers.
