The Chargers received great pitching but they came up 1 run short. John S. started on the mound for the Chargers and he did not give up an earned run. He struck out 2 and walked 1. Marc B. worked 2 innings allowing no runs, striking out 4 and walked 1. Jason K. worked 2 innings and did not allow an earned run. He struck out 2 and did not walk anybody. Tyler L. pitched 1 inning and did not allow an earned run. He had 2 strikeouts and did not walk a batter.

Northeast scored a run in the 2nd inning to take the 1-0 lead. The Chargers answered with a run in the 3rd inning. Tyler L. led off with a walk. Paul M. singled Tyler to 3rd base. John R. drove in Paul M. with an infield ground out. John S. led off the 4th inning with a base on balls. Spencer H. drove John S. in with a ground ball out to make the score Chargers 2, Northeast 1.

Northeast scored runsin the 5th and 6th innings to win the game to make the final score 3-2.

The Chargers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning. John R. singled and John S. tripled to drive in the first run. Marc B. grounded out to drive in the second run. Osceola scored 2 runs in the 2nd inning and 4 runs in the 3rd inning to take a 6-2 lead. They had another run in the 7th inning to make the score Osceola 7, Shorecrest 2.

The Chargers faced some very good pitching and only had 4 hits in the game. John R. pitched 2 2/3 innings and picked up the loss. He gave up 5 earned runs, 6 hits and had 2 strikeouts. Paul M. pitched 4 1/3 innings allowing 1 run, 1 hit, 2 strikeouts and no walks.

Osceola scored a run in the 1st inning and a run in the 2nd inning to take a 2-0 lead. The Chargers rallied with 6 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning to go ahead 6-2. Spencer H. tripled and Jon O. drove him in with a sacrifice fly. Tyler L. walked and Paul M. singled to drive him in. Andrew R. and John S. both walked and Paul M. scored on a wild pitch. Andrew R. also scored on a wild pitch. John R. walked and scored on an error. Spencer H. singled to drive in a run. In the 3rd inning, Tyler L. reached on an error and scored on a wild pitch to give the Chargers a 7-2 lead. In the bottom of the 6th inning, John S. doubled and John R. tripled to drive in a run. Brent R. singled to drive in the final run to make the final score 9-2.

Jason K. started pitching for the Chargers and worked 1 2/3 innings, allowing 1 earned run, 3 hits and 1 strikeout. Tyler L. picked up the win, working 5 1/3 innings of shutout baseball. He allowed 2 hits, had 8 strikeouts and no walks.

John R. led off the 1st inning with a base on balls. Marc B. and Spencer H. both walked and John R. then scored on a wild pitch to give the Chargers a 1-0 lead. Northeast tied the game 1-1 in the 2nd inning. In the bottom of the 2nd inning John S. led off with a single, Andrew R. walked and Brian K. singled. Austin R. reached on an error and a run scored. John R. also reached on an error and another run scored. Brent R. walked with the bases loaded to force in a run. Marc B. singled to drive in two runs. Spencer H. walked and Jon O. hit a sacrifice fly to drive in the final run of the inning to give the Chargers a 7-1 lead. John S. led off the 3rd inning with a base hit and scored on a sacrifice fly by Brian K. to make the score 8-1. In the 4th inning John R. led off with a base hit and Brent R. singled. Marc B. then doubled to drive in 2 runs and a final run scored on an error to give the Chargers an 11-1 lead. The game was stopped at that point because of the 10-run rule.

John R. and Tyler L. combined to pitch a no-hit game. John R. worked the first 4 innings giving up no hits with 6 strikeouts. Tyler L. worked the 5th inning giving up no hits with 3 strikeouts.

The Chargers were shut out by Northeast High School on one hit in an outstanding pitching performance. Northeast scored a run in the first inning on a triple and a wild pitch. They scored two runs in the second inning on a triple, a double and a single to jump ahead 3-0. Northeast scored another run in the 4th inning, another run in the 6th inning and two runs in the 7th inning. Jon O. singled in the 2nd inning for the only Charger hit in the game. John S. then walked but the Chargers were unable to score a run. They also had runners on first and second with one out in the 7th inning but again failed to score.

Jason K. was the losing pitcher, pitching 5 innings. He allowed 4 earned runs, walked 3, struck out 3 and allowed 7 hits. John S. faced 3 batters and allowed 1 earned run. Andrew R. pitched 2 innings, gave up2 earned runs, 1 hit and 2 bases on balls.

The Chargers next game will be against Osceola at home on Sunday, November 1 at 1:00 pm.

Northeast scored an unearned run in the bottom of the 3rd inning to take a 1-0 lead. The Chargers scored 3 runs in the top of the 6th inning. Spencer H. singled with one out. Jason K. walked. Jon O. singled to load the bases. John S. drove in the run with a ground out. Brian K. walked and Paul M. singled to drive in the 2nd run. John R. singled to drive in the 3rd run of the inning to give the Chargers a 3-1 lead. Northeast tied the game 3-3 with 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning. John S. walked to start the top of the 8th inning and Paul M. drove him in with a base hit. Paul M. scored a run on a wild pitch to give the Chargers a 5-3 lead. In the bottom of the 8th with one out, Northeast had a walk off three run homer to win the extra-inning game 6-5.

John S. pitched outstanding baseball for the Chargers giving up only 1 unearned run, 1 hit, 1 strikeout and 1 walk in the 5 innings he pitched. Jason K. worked 2 1/3 innings and took the loss. Brian K. made 3 very good defensive plays in the outfield and was the defensive player of the game. Shortstop Brent R. also made an outstanding defensive play going into the outfield to make a great play on a popup that was hit out in the left center field.

John S. led off the 3rd inning with a single. John R. doubled with two outs to drive in the first run of the game. Brent R. doubled to drive in a run. Jason K. hit a long two-run homer to give the Chargers a 4-0 lead. Dixie Hollins scored a run in the bottom of the 3rd inning to cut the lead to 4-1. In the 5th inning, Brent R. started things off with a base hit. Jason K. followed with a single to drive in a run. Andrew R. singled to drive in another run to make the score 7-1. Brian K. doubled to start the 6th inning. John R. was hit by a pitch. Brent R. singled to drive in a run. Jason K. hit a sacrifice fly to score another run. Spencer H. singled to drive in a run. Tyler L. doubled off of the fence to drive in a run. In the 7th inning Brian K. led off with a single, Brent R. walked, Jason K. walked, Spencer H. doubled to drive in 2 more runs, Jon O. singled to drive in a run, Andrew R. singled to drive in a run and John S. singled to drive in another run.

Jason K. picked up the win for the Chargers working 6 long innings, striking out 10, allowing no earned runs and gave up on ly 3 hits. Andrew R. pitched an inning and struck out the 3 batters he faced.

John R. singled to drive in another run making the score 3-0. Brent R. singled to start off the 5th inning. Jason K. hit a sacrifice fly to make the score 4-0. In the 6th inning, Tyler L. and Andrew R. walked and then a run scored on an infield error to give the Chargers a 5-0 lead. Dixie Hollins scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to cut the Chargers lead to 5-2. In the 7th inning, John R. led off with a single. Jason K. walked and then Spencer H. singled to drive in a run to make the final score 6-2.

John R. picked up the win for the Chargers, working 5 innings. He struck out 8 batters and allowed only 2 hits. Tyler L. picked up the save, coming in in the 6th inning with the bases loaded. In the 7th inning he retired the batters 3 up/3 down. Andrew R. pitched 1/3 of an inning and struck out the batter he faced.

Spencer H. played an outstanding game behind the plate for the Chargers.

The Chargers scored two runs in the 1st inning. Jason K. singled, Marc B. reached on an error and Spencer H. singled to drive in 2 runs for a 2-0 lead. Osceola scored 4 runs in the 5th inning and 6 runs in the 6th inning to take a commanding 10-2 lead. The Chargers fought back in the 7th inning with 4 runs. John R. and Jason K. walked. Spencer H. doubled to drive in 2 runs. Jon O. reached on an infield error. Brent R. tripled to drive in the final two 2 runs to make the score 10-6.

John S. took the loss pitching 4 1/3 innings. Andrew R. pitched 2/3 of an inning and Brent R. pitched one inning.

Jason K. pitched a no hitter for the Chargers on Saturday against Northeast High School. He was outstanding striking out 9, allowing no earned runs and walking three.

The Chargers scored one run in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Spencer H. walked and Jon O. drove him in with a long double to give the Chargers a 1-0 lead. Northeast tied the game in the 3rd inning at 1-1. In the 5th inning, Andrew R. reached on an error and Brent R. walked. With two outs Marc B. singled to drive in the go-ahead run. Spencer H. singled to drive in two more runs to give the Chargers a 4-1 lead. Northeast scored a run in the 6rh inning to make the final score 4-2.

Marc B. with a single, 1 RBI and 1 run scored

Osceola scored a run in the 2nd inning on a double and a single to take a 1-0 lead. In the top of the 3rd Shorecrest scored five runs. Andrew R. singled, John S. reached on a two-base error to put runners on 2nd and 3rd. John R. walked to load the bases. Andrew R. and John S. scored on a wild pitch and a passed ball. Marc B. doubled to drive in a run. Spencer H. and Jason K. walked. Brian K. singled and drove in a run and Jason K. scored in a run-down play.

Osceola scored three runs in the 3rd inning on a 3-run homer to cut the lead to 5-4. Osceola put the game away in the fourth inning with 5 more runs to take the 9-5 lead. In the 6th inning Brian K. led off with a single. Jon O. doubled to put runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs, however the Chargers were unable to score.

Jason K. pitched 3 1/3 innings and picked up the loss. John R. worked the final 2 2/3 innings.

Game 1
Shorecrest 4, Osceola 3

Osceola scored a run in the top of the 1st to jump out to a 1-0 lead. The Chargers answered with 3 runs in the bottom half of the 3rd. Paul M. started the inning off by reaching on an error. John R. also reached on an error and a run scored on the play. Brent R. walked. Jason K. drove in a run with a ground out. Jon O. walked. Brian K. was hit by a pitch to force in the 3rd run of the inning.

Osceola tied the score in the bottom of the 6th with 2 runs. The Chargers scored the winning run in the bottom of the 7th inning. Marc B. led off with a double. Jason K. walked. Brian K. reached on an error to load the bases. Austin R. drove in the winning run on an infield ground ball.

Jason K. pitched very good baseball in 5 innings. He gave up 1 earned run, 1 base on balls, 3 hits and 4 strikeouts. John S. picked up the win working 2 innings in relief, allowing 2 unearned runs, 2 walks, 2 strikeouts and no hits.

Shorecrest 5, Osceola 2
Shorecrest scored a run in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Jason K. reached on an error and advanced to 2nd base on a ground ball. With 2 outs, Jon O. singled to drive in the first run of the game. In the top of the 3rd inning Osceola scored a run to tie the game 1-1. In the 4th inning Marc B. led off for the Chargers with a long double to the fence. Jason K. followed with a walk. Brian K. got a base hit to load the bases. John S. singled to drive in 2 runs to give the Chargers a 3-1 lead. In the 5th inning the Chargers added another run. Andrew R. started off with a base on balls and Jake B. advanced him to 2nd base on a ground out. Cody T. drove in a run with a ground out to make the score 4-1. In the top of the 6th inning, Osceola scored a run to make the score 4-2. In the bottom of the 6th Marc B. led off with a long triple off the outfield fence. Jason K. hit a sacrifice fly to drive him in to make the final score 5-2.

John R. pitched an outstanding ball game for Shorecrest. He pitched a complete game, allowing 2 runs, 4 hits, struck out 7 and walked only 1.

Brian K. pitched 5 outstanding innings for the Chargers, striking out 6 batters, and allowing 2 hits, 1 base on balls and 0 earned runs. Jason K. also pitched very good baseball, working 2 innings, allowing no runs, no hits, 3 strikeouts and 2 walks.

The Chargers scored 1 run in the bottom of the 3rd inning on a single by Brent R. and a base hit and RBI by Spencer H. In the 4th inning John S. walked with 2 outs. John R. singled, Brent R. singled and drove in a run, Marc B. singled and drove in another run and Spencer H. doubled to drive in 2 more runs to give the Chargers a 5-0 lead. In the 5th inning, Andrew R. walked, Jake B. walked, John R. was hit by a pitch, Brent R. and Marc B. both walked to force in runs to give the Chargers a 7-0 lead. In the top of the 7th Northeast scored 2 unearned runs to make the final score 7-2.

Brent R. made a great leaping catch for the play of the game.

The Chargers lost their first game of the fall season to Dixie Hollins in 8 innings.

Jason K. pitched outstanding baseball for 5 innings; he gave up only 2 hits, walked 1, struck out 7 and allowed only 1 run. Tyler L. pitched 3 innings, allowing 3 hits, no walks, 1 run and he struck out 2. Dixie Hollins scored 1 run in the 5th inning to take a 1-0 lead. The Chargers answered in the 5th with a run in the bottom of the 5th. Brent R. singled with 2 outs. Marc B. singled and Brent R. advanced to 3rd base. Brent R. scored on a wild pitch to tie the game 1-1. The game went into extra innings and Dixie Hollins scored a run in the top of the 8th inning to win the game 2-1.

The 2nd game of the doubleheader was suspended due to thunder and lightning. The game will be finished at a later date.
