St Pete Catholic 11 – Shorecrest Chargers 1
SPC jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning on a walk,
hit batter and error. The Chargers scored
a run in the top of the 3rd inning – Matt B lead off with a base hit
and advanced to 3rd on 2 ground ball outs, Spencer H walked and the
Chargers executed a double steal to score the run and cut the SPC lead to
2-1. SPC exploded for 6 runs in the 5th
inning and scored 3 more runs in the 6th inning to make the final
score 11-1. Marc B took the loss, pitching 4 innings striking out 4, allowing 4
hits and no earned runs. Andrew R, Jason
K, and Austin R pitched in relief for the Chargers. Leading hitters were Anthony F, Austin R and
Matt B.
